Welcome to our website which aims to give you an insight into life at Barlows Primary School including its organisation and the educational opportunities we offer our pupils.
At Barlows Primary School we aim to encourage our children to learn as much as possible and achieve their individual potential whilst developing respect and consideration for others. Our expectations of both children’s learning and behaviour are high at all times and our pupils are actively supported to believe they can be successful and achieve.
Our school vision statement is ‘To give of our best, to work together, to value everyone and learn for life’ which reflects the fact that learning and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.
Our school mission statement explains this further:
Barlows Primary School Mission Statement
Barlows Primary School provides a happy and secure environment in which our children can acquire skills and develop their imagination and appreciation of the world, thus enabling them to fulfil their role as valuable members of the community.
When I joined Barlows, I knew that with my shared vision for the school and the community that Barlows would go from strength to strength and between us all, children, parents, staff, inspectors and governors that we would be recognised as an outstanding primary school locally and nationally. In our Ofsted inspection in January 2010 we were delighted to receive an ‘outstanding’ grade for our school.
“Barlows is an outstanding school, which is held in high regard by the community.” Ofsted – January 2010
We value your feedback on any aspects of our school website.
“The special thing about our school is that we always give of our best.” Pupil giving feedback to Ofsted inspectors – January 2010
