Year 3 Trip To Chester
On Wednesday 23rd November Year 3 went on a trip to the Grosvenor Museum in Chester as part of our History topic based on the Romans. The day was split into two halves, with the first half being based in the actual museum examining artefacts and taking part in a workshop led by the museum staff that highlighted what life was like back in Roman times. After lunch we were marched round the city by our very own Roman soldier who guided us through the remains of the Roman fortress that still exists today in Chester. We visited Roman gardens, an amphitheatre and the walls that once guarded the city. Some of us even got to dress up as a Roman soldier! We all had a very enjoyable day and it was a fantastic experience.
