A day at St John Bosco High School
On Wednesday 25th January 2012, Y4 girls visited St John Bosco high school to have a taste of what it would be like to go to an all girls school. The fun packed day allowed the children to experience dance, drama and art. As Barlows has a good working relationship with St John Bosco, the teachers linked the work that the girls did with the topics we have been learning in school. During drama, the children produced freeze frame pictures of puppets that the French artist Matisse may have used to model his work on. During Art the children produced some prints of figures again linked to Henri Matisse. Throughout the day the girls had an opportunity to speak to some Year 7 children about their experiences of moving from primary to high school. All the girls enjoyed the day and are now looking forward to choosing their high schools.
