Horrible Histories
On 17th September, Year 4 went on a trip to the Floral Pavilion, New Brighton to see Horrible Histories – The Awful Egyptians as part of our History topic.
It was a bright, warm, sunny day and before the production started, we had time for a short walk along the New Brighton promenade.
Once the show started the children had a fantastic time and learned lots of interesting facts about the Ancient Egyptians including how they were mummified and their beliefs about the afterlife. The second part of the show was in 3D and the children had to wear special 3D goggles which made it look as though mummies were literally jumping out at them!
It was a very enjoyable and informative trip which allowed the children to develop their understanding of Ancient Egypt without even realising it!
