Year 4 have recently embarked on an 11 week musical adventure known as the ‘Wider Opportunities and In Harmony project’. In this project, led by musicians from Liverpool Music Support Service and the Liverpool Philharmonic, all children will have the chance to develop their musical talents by learning to play an orchestral string instrument. Children in Year 4, alongside their class teachers and support staff, will learn how to play one of several string instruments ranging from the violin, viola and cello. All of the children’s hard work will culminate in a final orchestral concert, where the children will be able to showcase their musical talents.
